own a photograph
Just like most photos on the web, I often see my images only on a computer monitor. When I make a print, I am reminded that a 70kb highly compressed web JPG can not hold a candle to a print made from a high resolution original. Photographs are prints - web images are just previews. I am always happy to print a photograph so it can be seen how it's meant to be seen.
about the prints
I am not a retailer, a shop, or a warehouse: all my prints are made to order, using photo labs and not a home inkjet. In this era of high quality digital enlargers, it's possible today to make prints that often exceed what were top quality prints ten years ago - in a fraction of the time, for a fraction of the cost.
After much experimentation, I've found a standard and popular option that is high in quality and low in cost. Fuji Crystal Archive Lustre is the best all-around archival photo paper made today. The ordering links on image pages are for prints on this popular paper, in popular sizes:
5x7 - $14.75 · 8x10 - $29.50 · 11x14 - $59.50 · 12x18 - $85.00
Prints are made from the original film or files, and do not have the copyright notice that appears on the web version. All orders are verified by email before printing, to make sure everything is correct.
